Objective / Rules
- Complete the grid such that every row and column contains the numbers 1 to the size of the grid.
- Every row and column contains each number only once.
- The clues tell you how many skyscrapers you can see in that direction.
- You can't see a shorter skyscraper behind a taller one.
Read the help page on Daily Skyscrapers for the rules, a more detailed explanation, and a walkthrough.
Notes
Keyboard Options
- If you are using a device without a physical keyboard, the on-screen keyboard is numeric, and 0 = auto-pencil marks (which can be disabled). If you prefer to use the default, non-numeric keyboard, you can select the option below the puzzle, and 0 ≠ auto-pencil marks.
- 'add / remove' ➞ add / remove characters, entering the same character again will remove it (by removing all duplicates and sorting).
Pencil Marks
- What is a pencil mark? Pencil marks can help you keep track of your own thinking, simply enter more than one digit into each square, just like you might do if you were using pen and paper.
- The size of the digits is smaller when there is more than one digit in a square.
- A square might contain more pencil marks than can be shown.
Usage (if supported by your device)
- a or 0 = auto-pencil marks (or click 'pencil')
- CTRL + arrows = move around the grid
- SHIFT + number = highlight all squares with that number
- SHIFT + 0 = clear all highlights
- 'squares with' highlights all squares with that number as a pencil mark.
- Clicking a clue will change its colour, helping you to remember that you've dealt with it.
Checking
- Once you have started the puzzle, if you click 'check' the system will check for mistakes.
- If 'show mistakes' is ticked / checked they will be marked in red when you click 'check'.
- There are two types of mistake checked for:
a single number that isn't the same as the answer
pencil marks that don't contain the answer
Uniqueness
- This puzzle has exactly one correct answer.
- No guesses are ever required.
- Double-check alternative answers carefully, and then recheck the rules.
