Keyboard Options
- If you are using a device without a physical keyboard, the on-screen keyboard is numeric. If you prefer to use the default, non-numeric keyboard, you can select the option below the puzzle.
- 'add / remove' - allows you to add / remove characters, entering the same character again will remove it (by removing all duplicates), and the contents are sorted.
Pencil Marks
- What is a pencil mark? Pencil marks can help you keep track of your own thinking, simply enter more than one digit / letter into each square, just like you might do if you were using pen and paper.
- The size of the digits / letters is smaller when there is more than one digit / letter in a square.
- A square might contain more pencil mark digits / letters than can be shown.
Checking
- Once you have started the puzzle, if you click 'check' the system will check for incorrect squares.
- If 'show mistakes when checking' is ticked / checked they will be marked in red (squares with pencil marks are not checked).
Sums Checker
- As you enter numbers, any correct sums are automatically highlighted.
- Only the numbers from 1 to 9 are considered when checking each sum.
Uniqueness
- This puzzle has exactly one correct answer.
- No guesses are ever required.
- Double-check alternative answers carefully, and then recheck the rules.
