After a local art theft, six suspects were interviewed.

Below is a summary of their statements.

Police knew that exactly four of them told one lie each, and all the other statements were true.

From this information, can you tell who committed the crime?
Alex said:
   It wasn't Billie
   It wasn't Drew
   It wasn't Emery

Billie said:
   It wasn't Alex
   It wasn't Chris
   It wasn't Emery

Chris said:
   It wasn't Billie
   It wasn't Frankie
   It wasn't Emery

Drew said:
   It wasn't Alex
   It wasn't Frankie
   It wasn't Chris

Emery said:
   It wasn't Chris
   It wasn't Drew
   It wasn't Frankie

Frankie said:
   It wasn't Chris
   It wasn't Drew
   It wasn't Alex

Chris committed the crime.

Reasoning
We know that exactly 4 lies were told.

If it was Alex, then 3 lies would have been told (by those who said it wasn't Alex).

If it was Billie, then 2 lies would have been told.

If it was Chris, then 4 lies would have been told.

If it was Drew, then 3 lies would have been told.

If it was Emery, then 3 lies would have been told.

If it was Frankie, then 3 lies would have been told.

Double-Checking
Since it was Chris, there were 14 truths, and 4 lies, for a total of 18 clues.
