Puzzle 429
I was travelling from Chesterton to Newcastle recently when I came across a sign which had fallen off its post at the crossroads.
It was marked to Newcastle, Chesterton, Knutton and Silverdale.
Unfortunately I didn't know which road to take to Newcastle and had hoped the sign would help.
Luckily I had a brainwave which helped me put the sign back pointing correctly to Newcastle.
What was my idea?

Puzzle 431
Below is a very special grid, around each shaded number are 8 white squares. However, each white square should have a number from 1 to 7. Once filled in, these 8 numbers will sum to the shaded number. In addition, once completed correctly, no row nor column will contain a duplicate number within a white square. For example, the top row may be 5 6 4 2 3 1 7, etc. This is a very difficult puzzle, and many people resort to using a computer to help them, which is a challenge in itself.

Dominic had a certain way with animals – he could almost talk to them. By tickling it under the chin, a rabbit would roll over and let its belly be tickled. This technique was sometimes used to good effect in gaining trust, and allowed a vital yearly treatment to be performed safely. The removal of nits. Using a vet approved shampoo to clean the fur (and not a blend of malt and water!).
