Puzzle 137
This BrainBashers safe has a rather unusual control panel.
In order to open the safe, you have to press every single square once only, in the correct sequence, ending on the square marked E.
Each square indicates which square to press next, for example, 2U means move up 2 squares and 3R means move right 3 squares.
Can you determine which square you must start with?
| 2R | 1D | 2D | 2L | 1L | 1L | 1L |
| 1U | 2R | 2L | 2D | 1D | 1R | 2D |
| 3R | 5R | 2D | 2L | 1R | 1U | 4D |
| 2D | 1R | 2R | 3L | 2U | 2D | 1D |
| 2U | 1U | 2D | 1D | 1L | 1U | 2L |
| 6R | 1U | 4U | E | 1D | 3L | 2L |

Puzzle 138
I recently went to the shop and purchased 4 items.
Three of the items cost:
$1.50
$3.00
$4.00
There was quite a long queue, and as I was quite bored, I was playing with my pocket calculator while I waited.
Very curiously, the 4 prices added to the same number as I got when I multiplied the 4 prices together.
What was the price of the 4th item?

Summer Paintings – Logic Puzzles
At a recent painting competition, the results were mislaid. Luckily, I remembered the following:
Emery's rendition of the Constable painting was not in last place.
The person who painted the Monet was very successful and took first place.
Glen only just managed to avoid last place and came third.
Alex beat the person who painted the Taylor, and the person who painted the Van Gogh beat Drew.
Can you determine who painted what, and who won?
