An ant has six legs, a spider has eight legs and a mouse has four legs.
In my zoo, I recently counted 612 legs which came from an equal number of each of these animals.
Can you identify how many animals there are in my zoo?

102 animals: 34 of each.
As there are the same number of each animal, for every ant, spider and mouse we have 18 legs.
612 ÷ 18 = 34 of each animal.
Which gives a total of 34 x 3 = 102 animals. QED.
