Puzzle - Answer

If an apple costs 39p, a pear costs 32p, a banana costs 48p, then how much does a pineapple cost?

 [Ref: ZHXS] © Kevin Stone

Answer: 71p.

Vowels are worth 9p and consonants are worth 7p and then added together. Therefore pineapple = (5 * 7 consonants) + (4 * 9 vowels) = 71.
